Easter Day

Getting Ready for Easter

We had such a great Easter Break! You can't help but get tickled at the girls & some of the stunts they pull. To my surprise one morning when I went in to get Caly up she was sleeping most comfortably sideways in her bed with her feet propted up on a pillow,,,the little princess! We had a few dry runs on egg hunting Saturday afternoon. Rylee was bored so I got out the plastic eggs & let the girls hunt them in the front yard. Then we got the confetti eggs out & the girls loved those! Saturday night we dyed eggs,,,compliments of Rylee's chickens. That was a first for the girls! We had a good time. Easter morning Caly was the first one up as usual & was most excited that the Easter Bunny brought her a "Bubble Basket"! Elmo, Mickey Mouse & bubbles are her favorite things. Rylee got a stylish "Pink Diva Basket" filled with jewlery & real make-up. Needless to say Sunday afternoon she gave me a make over,,,LOL. It POORED rain all day. So as instructed by the Easter Bunny who left the girls a note, mom & dad were to hide the eggs because the weather was too bad for him to. You tend to get creative when you are a parent : )

Sunny Sunday

Mawmaw made the girls new dresses & they were precious in them. Rylee wanted a butterfly dress so Mawmaw made both girls butterfly print dresses. We stopped by Mawmaw's after church so she could see them. They had fun playing in the yard & enjoying the sun!

Soccer

Rylee played a great game on Saturday. It was COLD & WINDY but thanks to Mawmaw Blacksher, Clay & I the girls were warm & toasty in their team hoodies. Rylee scored 2 goals!!! Poor Caly slept in the car but was ready to go after her nap.

Kite Flying & Cow Checking

Sunday we spent the afternoon in one of the pastures trying to fly kites. Then we checked the cows.

Spring Break 09

We spent our Spring Break in South Texas! We went to the zoo in San Antonio, saw Meme & Papa and Aunt Carolyn, Collin & Braxton.

Extreme Marker Makeover

There is N-E-V-E-R a dull moment in our house. Monday evening Clay took Rylee to check the cows & Caly stayed with me while I cooked supper. She was in the playroom which is off the kitchen so I checked on her periodically. I suppose the Blacksher girls have a thing for green markers because when Rylee was the same age she had an encounter with a green marker. Needless to say we haven't gotten around to sanding & refinishing 2 of the drawers in the playroom bathroom : ) I just THOUGHT Caly had crayons,,,,OH NO,,,,it was markers. Since Rylee is in Pre-K & learning to write, etc she is very creative & uses ALL forms of anything that will write or draw on paper! At first I thought she had just marked on her hands with the marker. I didn't realize she had given herself a "Marker Makeover". To top it off we have reverted to using a pacifier since she is super teething. 20 months old & only has 6 full sized teeth. The others are breaking through,,,finally. I couldn't help but laugh & take pictures. She looked like she had some crazy wiskers which is fitting because everyone calls her "Caly Cat" & she was giggling trying to get the camera! A dry erase marker comes off quite easy on little cheeks,,,thank goodness. I'm just glad she didn't use the black permanent one that was on the floor next to that one. We had to have the "pick up your toys" talk AGAIN with Rylee. Needless to say she had a good rub-a-dub in the tub!

Escape Artist

With a "Princess" stool all things are possible! At least Caly thinks so. She has learned that a stool is handy in all situations,,,getting into mommy's makeup in the bathroom, getting Rylee's light up toothbrush, trying to open the pantry and perhaps the funniest of all was trying to unlock the back door to go outside & play with the puppies.

Prom 09

After 6 hrs of decorating & about 5 trips to Card & Party Factory to get 300 balloons during that time on Friday, we were ready for Prom 09. I worried all day Saturday that we'd get there that night & all the balloons would have deflated. We had them high floated & they stayed. Everyone loved the chocolate fountain. Clay & I chaperoned & had a blast! Needless to say we were beat & everyone took a nap Sunday.
